“Spiritual leader” GP found guilty by tribunal

A GP who also practiced alternative medicine – calling herself a “spiritual healer” – has been found guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct after failing to hold indemnity insurance.

A NSW medical tribunal found Dr Denise Perroux claimed an exemption from professional indemnity insurance requirements when registering over seven years – from 2002 to 2009 – when she had no right to a waiver.
