Statins war exposes limits of self regulation

The generic medicines company offering $15,000 worth of atorvastatin free to loyal pharmacies has refused to participate in a complaints resolution process over the matter.

In May it emerged that Ranbaxy Australia was offering pharmacists supporting their product $15,000 worth of free atorvastatin (Trovas) and a 90% discount for subsequent orders.
