Students slam Libs plan for full-fee uni places

The Australian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) said it was “deeply concerned” after opposition education spokesman Christopher Pyne issued a statement declaring “only the Coalition supports bringing back full-fee paying places for Australian domestic students, which are currently restricted to overseas students”.

“This measure alone would give universities greater freedom to grow,” Mr Pyne’s statement said.

AMSA president James Churchill hit back, saying any student fee increases including the reintroduction of full-fee tertiary places for domestic students
