Study looks down the throats of drug mules

Endoscopies appear to be a safe way of removing illicit drug packets swallowed by users or transporters to avoid detection, according to an Australian case report.

Gastroenterologist Dr Robert Gibson from John Hunter Hospital in NSW and colleagues reported a 30-year-old man who had consumed a week’s worth of methamphetamine stored in a plastic bag.
