Sublingual immunotherapy helps allergy

There is "moderate" evidence to support the expensive approach of using sublingual immunotherapy for allergic rhinitis and asthma, a new systematic review shows.

The review of 63 randomised controlled trials, published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found strong evidence that the therapy can reduce asthma symptoms and moderate evidence it can improve rhinitis and conjunctivitis.
