Suicide rate 12 times higher for Indigenous children

The suicide rate among Indigenous children is more than 12 times higher than that of other Australian children, Queensland research shows.

Of the 45 suicides in children aged 10-14 between 2000 and 2010, 21 were among Indigenous children, according to data from the Queensland Suicide Register.
