Super clinic's future in jeopardy
The future of Australia's most expensive GP super clinic is in jeopardy after the operator pulled out of its contract, leaving the state government to prop up the service.
In a statement gpSolutions said it had "no option but to withdraw its services" from the $25 million Modbury GP Super Clinic based in Adelaide, adding it was a "business decision". It is understood the three doctors currently working at the practice will leave next month.
SA health minister, John Hill, said the government would employ locum doctors to work at the clinic while it looks for an alternative provider to run the service.
