Surgeons referred to AHPRA over death

A Queensland surgeon's actions were "suboptimal and inexcusable", a coroner's report into the death of one of his patients has found.

Coroner Annette Hennessy found a series of failures by staff at Rockhampton Hospital contributed to the 2010 death of Judith McNaught, 69, from septicaemia, following surgery to remove her gall bladder.
