Survey: rural GPs at risk of violence at work

The call follows the release of a recent survey, which has shown workplace safety fears were one of the main factors keeping GPs out of rural and remote Australia, and one of the main worries for those who do work there.

The ‘Working Safe Survey’ was a joint initiative of the Rural Doctors Association of Australia, ACRRM, the nursing and police federations and the Council of Remote Area Nurses Australia as part of a larger project designed to develop responses to workplace violence against teachers, doctors and police.
