Sydney GP fined $10K for supplying steroids

Dr Anthony Bosnich whose registration had previously been suspended from April to October 2008, was prosecuted earlier this year by the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) in relation to his practice in anti-ageing medicine and his interest in fitness and ‘fat loss’.

The commission argued that Dr Bosnich was guilty of professional misconduct in his inappropriate prescribing of human growth hormone, Pregnyl, Clomid, tamoxifen and also tertroxin and benzodiazepines.

It also argued he had treated himself and relatives, had treated patients without consultation
