A tail with a happy ending
A FOUR-year-old patient of Dr Andrew MacDonald from Cooks Hill, NSW, was in tears: as the little one had been getting out of the car to see the doctor, the door had shut on the tail of her well loved toy, causing a definite deformity.
Years of medical expertise came into play when Dr MacDonald splinted the tail with tongue depressors and tape. He advised leaving the splint on for a few days as “snow leopards heal quickly”.
The consultation continued with a much happier patient.
