Tax-office targets doctors in dodgy schemes
The tax office has doctors in its sights this year, pledging to keep a close eye on those caught up in dubious investment schemes.
On Thursday the Australian Taxation Office announced the professions it would put under the microscope in the 2012/13 compliance program. Along with doctors are plumbers, IT managers, defence force personnel, plasterers and cafe owners.
