A 29-year-old woman presents to the ED with fatigue, weakness, fever and dyspnoea.
Transthoracic echocardiography (see video) reveals a large pericardial effusion with evidence of tamponade.
The effusion contains extensive intrapericardial fibrin strands with a wormlike appearance.
