Tea protective against osteoporotic fracture

A soothing cup of tea packs a surprising punch, with Australian researchers finding it substantially reduces the odds of fracture-related hospitalisations in elderly women.

The prospective study of 1,200 women shows those who drink three or more cups of tea a day are 30% less likely to have any osteoporotic fracture over 10 years compared than those who drink one one cup or less a week.
