Teen sentenced to 17 years in prison after stabbing GP to death

A jury had found the boy guilty of murdering Dr Ashley Gordon.

The teenager who brutally stabbed GP Dr Ashley Gordon to death has been sentenced to 17 years in prison.

The boy, now 18, and a friend broke into Dr Gordon’s house at about 4am last year, stealing shoes, headphones, laptops, a wallet and silver necklaces.

They went back to a nearby house party before returning to Dr Gordon’s, planning to steal a Mercedes-Benz car from the garage.

Dr Gordon caught them as they tried to break in a second time, chasing the teenagers onto the street and then following them in his car.
