Telephone triaging not a good call

Telephone triaging in general practice is more trouble than it’s worth, according to a UK study.

It shows that patients who receive a phone call-back from a doctor or nurse following their request for a same-day consultation with a GP are more likely to require further support or advice when compared to patients who see a doctor person.
