Terry White Chemmart eyes aggressive expansion

Terry White Chemmart is seeking new merger opportunities as the group aims to double its network to around 1000 pharmacies.

The group unveiled a five-year expansion plan to ensure a “strong and sustainable future” for pharmacy owners when it released positive half-yearly results this week.

CEO Anthony White told Pharmacy News the group would have to  “merge with other pharmacy networks to get to that scale”.

“There is nothing in the pipeline but we are constantly talking to people,” he says.

A focus on “frontline” health services

The aim is to roll out a range of health services in the next few years on top of the current flu vaccination program.

Combined with good “value for money” marketing, health services will help mitigate the effect of PBS
