TGA announces critical shortage of EpiPen Jr and other adrenaline products

Three steps pharmacies can take to help manage supplies

The TGA has announced a critical shortage of Mylan’s EpiPen Jr and adrenaline products from other suppliers.

The shortage of EpiPen 150μg has been caused by manufacturing delays and is expected to last until the end of January.

Supply of the EpiPen 300μg autoinjector is not affected.

Three other adrenaline products in short supply are:

  • UCB Pharma’s Min-I-Jet adrenaline 1mg/10mL pre-filled syringe.
  • Aspen’s adrenaline injection 1mg/10mL solution ampoule.
