TGA investigates faulty breast implants

A national medical panel is expected to assess the potential health risks for thousands of Australian women who have received defective French-made breast implants.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) will convene the panel on Wednesday after fears worsened over the implants being linked to high rupture rates and the use of industrial materials instead of those designed for medical purposes.
