TGA wrong to ban e-cigarettes, say experts

A group of Australian and international health experts has slammed the TGA’s interim decision to continue its ban on nicotine for use in electronic cigarettes.

The group — which includes more than 20 leading researchers, clinicians and academics — says Australia’s medicines regulator has exaggerated the risks attributed to nicotine and ignored the substantial potential health benefits for Australian smokers.
