Thousands of mammograms to be reviewed

More than 50,000 mammogram images are being independently reviewed in SA amid concerns cancers may have been missed since the state switched to digital screening technology that is now in use nationwide.

Minister for Health John Hill said on Wednesday all digital screening images with a normal result taken by BreastScreen SA between 6 September 2010 and 30 June 2012 would be independently reviewed.
