Too many cuts

Healthcare groups are questioning the need for continued PBS cuts after a Productivity Commission report found the costs of the scheme to be at a record low. 

While the federal government is banking on $1.2 billion in PBS cuts from its stalled Medicare safety net and co-pay increase measures, the latest data shows actual PBS expenditure is at a 10 year low.
