Transplant leader receives Australia Day honour

A world leader in kidney transplants, a malaria expert and a medical researcher who has published over 500 scientific papers are among the medical people to be appointed Companions (AC) in the Order of Australia on Australia day.

Professor Jeremy Chapman of Sydney's Westmead Hospital, who was named the world's number one authority on kidney transplants by expert ranking index Expertscape in 2014, was recognised for his significant service to medicine.
