Treating sugar like drug abuse

Nicotine addiction drugs could potentially be used to treat sugar addiction, say Australian neuroscientists.

Smoking cessation prescription medication such as varenicline (Champix), a nicotinic receptor partial agonist, works by both reducing cravings for tobacco and decreasing its pleasurable effects.
