Uni steps up campaign for new med school

Curtin University has stepped up its controversial bid to open a new medical school, with an online campaign playing down fears it will not be able to provide enough clinical training places for students.

In a new video Professor Jill Downie, head of the university's faculty of health sciences says the proposed five year undergraduate medical degree program - hoped to open in 2014 - will be "best for students, for Curtin and for the Western Australian community".
