Unis defend 'quackery' courses

Universities offering courses ranging from homeopathy to chiropractic treatment have responded to criticism from an anti-quackery group, saying the courses teach students to critically appraise evidence.

In December last year, the newly formed Friends of Science in Medicine sent letters to 39 universities asking them to review the complementary medicine components of their health sciences courses and remove any “undisciplined nonsense”.
