Urologists hit back in PSA debate

Urologists are advocating wider PSA testing for men as young as 40 — defying the advice of the NHMRC, RACGP and US Preventive Services Task Force.

In a consensus statement released yesterday, some of Australia's top urologists said "no man should be denied PSA testing" and that baseline testing of men in their 40s was "useful" for predicting future cancer risk.
