US anti-vaccine speaker cancels Australian tour
A US anti-vaccine campaigner has cancelled her Australian tour, saying she can’t guarantee the safety of attendees following multiple threats.
Emergency physician Dr Sherri Tenpenny (pictured) had planned to hold numerous seminars to promote her belief that vaccines are linked to autism, asthma and autoimmune diseases. But most of the venues cancelled because of a public backlash.
Dr Tenpenny says the tour was aborted because of what she describes as "anti-free speech terrorists".
