Using chillis to beat hypertension

Researchers say it may be a promising behavioural intervention 

People who enjoy chillis appear to eat less salt overall and have lower blood pressure than those who don't enjoy spicy foods, according to research published the journal Hypertension.

The study found that chilli fiends have a reduced salt preference and daily salt intake, along with lower blood pressure compared with people who like their food bland.
