A doctor has been accused of sexually assaulting a female patient at a West Australian hospital.
The woman was being treated at Bunbury Health Campus in December last year when the incident allegedly occurred.
The doctor appeared in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with sexual penetration without consent.
WA Country Health Service chief executive Jeffrey Moffet said the doctor had been stood down pending a verdict.
He has also been reported to AHPRA and the WA Department of Health.
