Walking as good as rehab for COPD

Walking 2-3 times a week is an effective alternative to pulmonary rehabilitation for patients with COPD, researchers from NSW say.

If pulmonary rehab was not available, a program of supervised walking training on a hospital track could achieve equivalent improvements in health-related quality of life and exercise capacity, according to a study from the University of Sydney.
