What’s making modern men susceptible to disease?

The 21st century appears to be making men sick, according to new Australian research that shows chemicals found in everyday plastics are linked to cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

An investigation of chronic diseases among men has found that potentially harmful chemicals, known as phthalates (pronounced: THAL-ates), are linked to health problems.

The study found that, of the 1500 men tested, phthalates were detected in urine samples of 99.9% of those aged 35-plus.
