Which personality traits predict dementia?

Some 'big five' baseline personality traits have been found to predict cognitive impairment and dementia in older adults.

Results from a large study of 10,457 older adults with normal cognition indicate that low conscientiousness, high neuroticism and low agreeableness are “significantly and independently” related with higher risk of dementia 2-8 years later.
These findings held after controlling for important risk factors.
The US authors suggest these personality traits are associated with inflammatory markers that may contribute to dementia.
