Who has been the worst Federal Health Minister in recent memory?

Former Federal Health Minister Peter Dutton will be front of mind for most GPs as they head into 2015 for being the health minister that stripped front-line general practice of $3.5 billion.

The revised co-pay plan he announced at the end of last year - just before he was moved in a cabinet resuffle to the immigration portfolio - will see cuts to level B rebates, a $5 cut to rebates for all non-concessional patients and the freezing of rebates for all GP items until 2018.
