WHO puts a deadline on clinical trial reporting

The World Health Organization (WHO) has thrown its weight behind a push to make pharmaceutical companies publish the results of all clinical drug trials soon after completion.

In a new statement, the group calls for results to be published on the primary clinical trial registry within 12 months of the end of a study, and to be published in a peer reviewed journal with 24 months.
