Women with doulas feel less GP support

Women who engage doulas feel GPs give them less support in pregnancy than complementary medicine practitioners, Australian research finds.

Findings from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health showed almost all women who engaged doulas believed CAM practitioners spent more time with them in consults than GPs or obstetricians.
