Increased demand for colposcopy resulting from the switch to an HPV DNA-based cervical screening program is starting to impact patients, hospitals confirm.

Women requiring non-urgent colposcopy because of cervical screening test results are being redirected to larger public gynaecology clinics, having to go on cancellation wait lists, or paying to be seen privately.
