Women given poor directions on post-op driving

Doctors and midwives are giving inconsistent advice to women about when they can resume driving after a caesarean section or hysterectomy, a survey shows.

While traditional advice has been that women should avoid driving for six weeks after abdominal surgery, many obstetricians are telling women they can drive after two weeks, a study of almost 1000 obstetricians and midwives has found.
