Teetotallers take more sick days than those who enjoy a daily tipple, according to the latest evidence.
But heavy drinkers are most likely to have the most time off work.
These are the main findings from a study of almost 50,000 people from Finland, France and the UK.
The researchers have found that people who don't drink are more likely to take sick days because of mental disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, diseases of the digestive system and diseases of the respiratory system.
