The health minister has issued a national apology to women for the pain and suffering they endured as result of transvaginal mesh implants.

The move comes as the Federal Government publishes its response to the Senate inquiry into the urogynaecological mesh device scandal, saying it would support the idea of making it mandatory for doctors to report to the TGA all adverse events linked to therapeutic goods.
