AMA’s ideas antiquated, says APNA
AMA president Dr Steve Hambleton described the Practice Nurse Incentive Program (PNIP) as “just terrible” for general practices.
“More than 10% of practices are confirmed by the department as worse off under the new incentive payments. Most will be larger practices, and the government is rolling out super clinics, encouraging larger practices, yet here’s a program that cuts off at five [block payments],” Dr Hambleton said.
