ATAGI reviews influenza and pneumococcal vax schedules

A NEW Australian study has found that influenza vaccine effectiveness for preventing childhood hospitalisations in 2014 was 55%, which is considered a ‘moderate’ result.

The vaccine effectiveness was high (92%) for the H1N1 subtype of Influenza A, but fell off for other subtypes.
