Bayer feud with TGA now over
The TGA had said Bayer’s internet ads for Berocca Performance breached therapeutic advertising rules because the company could not prove the product produced a “clinically significant effect... in improvement to concentration or a reduction in tiredness”.
It ordered the company to withdraw the claims. The company maintained the claims were “factual, based on clinical evidence and in no way misleading”.
But last month Bayer told the TGA it had “complied with and will continue to comply with” the orders.
