Change to stem the violence

“First point of attack, right ear. Two, the throat. Three, cracked ribs. In summary, neutralised.”

So says a cinematic Sherlock Holmes, narrating an attack on an opponent in a London street to a shaken Dr Watson.

In the hands of Robert Downey Jnr in the 2009 blockbuster movie, Sherlock Holmes, the scene has comedic intent. For many, the depiction of street attacks should never be a laughing matter.
