Concerns over premature ovarian failure after HPV vax

Since 2007 when school-based HPV vaccination for girls was introduced, the TGA has maintained a surveillance program to monitor for acute adverse events of special interest (AESI) including anaphylaxis, generalised allergic reaction, syncope or seizure and ED referral. 

Now the Advisory Committee on the Safety of Vaccines (ACSOV) has recommended the TGA consider adding premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) and chronic fatigue as these conditions were of potential significance to the community.
