Court bid to keep doctor from children

A NSW doctor whose career has been dogged by child sex abuse allegations and complaints of inappropriate behaviour has been cleared to work with children, in a decision now being challenged in court.

The Civil and Administrative Tribunal last year ordered the Children's Guardian to grant the doctor a "working with children" check clearance.

The Children's Guardian is now appealing the decision in the NSW Supreme Court, arguing that the tribunal failed to consider the risks the doctor might pose to all children, rather than those children whose contact
