Decriminalise illicit drugs: it’s a futile fight
A recent Nielsen poll in Australia (May 2012) has shown conclusively that the population has no appetite for drug law reform. There has been little change in public attitudes in the past 13 years, when the last poll was done. This is despite experts in the field pointing out the futility of criminalising drug use and the claim that the war on drugs has been a total failure.
