Doctor rating website hopes to offer a ‘constructive service’
Officially launched in Australia last week, Patient Opinion features a page on which users can submit positive or negative healthcare experiences.
Unlike many existing doctor rating sites, comments are moderated by the site operators before being posted so that neither the patient’s name nor the healthcare provider’s details will be made public.
The operators can then contact subscribing healthcare providers and give them the opportunity to reply to the patient, whose identity remains hidden.
