‘Game changer’: new plan to end ice epidemic

A TURNABOUT in the government’s policy on tackling ice, including almost $300 million to boost regional-focused treatment and prevention services, has been welcomed by addiction and mental health experts. 

The new policy, announced at the weekend, represents a shift from relying on advertising and law enforcement to supporting locally targeted services via Primary Health Networks (PHNs) across the country.
