GPs ignored in Hockey’s budget talk
IT WAS a budget as much for the miners of the Pilbara as for the farmers in the Mallee, said Treasurer Joe Hockey in his address to parliament.
GPs didn’t rate a mention.
In a remarkable departure from the tone of last year’s budget, gone was the talk of budget emergencies; barely raised were the subjects of debt and deficit.
Childcare and small business tax cuts took centre stage, as the government shone a spotlight on its inducements for
